Think Energy, a division of Think Hire landed the successful initial product deployment by forging a strategic partnership with John Sisk & Son Ltd to drive carbon-neutral operations
Think Energy delivered renewable off-grid power solutions, including advanced solar hybrid generators Solartainers Versatile and hybrid battery generator systems SiteGrid X45, providing a clean and efficient power supply for Sisk’s projects.
These solutions are tailored to support John Sisk & Son Ltd's construction sites and events, significantly reducing their carbon footprint and promoting sustainability. The units harness renewable energy, ensuring uninterrupted, eco-friendly operations.
Looking ahead, Think Energy incorporates advanced AI technology through Think Energy Panorama powered by Galooli. This energy management system enables proactive maintenance, optimises energy use, and provides real-time analytics, enhancing Sisk's sustainability in operations.
James Gabbott, Managing Director of Think Energy, expressed his enthusiasm: "Think Energy are delighted to have concluded our initial mobilisation of market-leading renewable power products for Sisk's Irish operations. After an extensive market review, Sisk chose Think Energy as their preferred strategic partner. This partnership will support Sisk in terms of day-to-day operations and their journey to be carbon neutral by 2030.
In the days since the arrival of Solartainers and X45 Batteries, we are delighted to hear how their recent Sisk Family Day with over 1,000 people was run completely from our batteries, thereby emitting zero carbon on the day, having been charged from their solar panels and renewable grid power in the days prior—a testament to Sisk's intent and the potential of the product."
Barry Murphy, Plant Operations Manager for John Sisk & Son Ltd, who led this initiative, shared his perspective: "As part of our procurement of these units, we visited Think Energy at their R&D base in Oldham and were impressed with the calibre of people behind the scenes, looking at and innovating the solutions for the problems we are trying to address right now. We are in a world where it's no longer acceptable to emit carbon in the manner we have done traditionally. We were looking for forward-thinking partners to support our Net Zero intents, and we believe with the work and innovation from Think Energy, we have that partner.
We are excited to introduce these new units to our Sisk offering. So far, all data suggests the units are outperforming our expectations. People think batteries will save money, but they also save on fuel deliveries, noise, carbon, and money - the day a standalone diesel generator is dispatched is now short-lived. I encourage everyone to look into the data behind the potential of battery technology. I believe it is a big part of the future."
Think Energy and John Sisk & Son Ltd’s collaboration sets a powerful example of corporate responsibility, showcasing the innovation Think Energy brings to the industry.
