Looking Forward to 2024 – Think Hire Grows as a Green Energy Company
Date: 08/01/24
2023 was a remarkable year for green energy company Think Hire, as we more than tripled our staff, doubled our depots and added innovative new equipment to our industry leading range. Looking at the climate news over the last year, this growth couldn’t be better timed ahead of 2024
Supporting the fight against climate change
As more and more companies step up to the challenges of climate change, Think Hire have been on hand to help, with everything from portable solar power stations to green site lighting, renewable energy sources to generator hire.
By working with construction sites, road and repair companies and more, we have helped to prevent tens of thousands of CO₂ from being released into the atmosphere. But we’re not resting on our laurels. We will be doubling our target for reduced emissions this year to help protect the environment even more.
More staff, more depots
As the drive for cleaner, greener operations has spread across the UK, so Think Hire has grown with it. We’ve tripled our team, welcoming fantastic new talents to drive our expanding operations forward.
We’ve also opened three new depots, at Newcastle upon Tyne, Membury in Berkshire and Huntingdon to add to our existing ones in Manchester and Scotland. This brings the total number of Think Hire offices to five, with our green energy company now covering the whole of the UK.
New division, new horizons
Early 2024 marked the launch of our new division, Think Energy, the Products and Technology business, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the world. We welcomed James Gabbott to lead Think Energy Products and Technology and look forward to groundbreaking advancements as we expand our horizons!
Our Innovation team have already introduced three exciting new products for the new year, to add to our unique renewable energy range. These include the fully flexible Solar Security Hut, the handy Solar Charging Station for phones and tools, and the Solar Skyframe to boost your renewable energy generation almost anywhere. Not a moment too soon
Think Hire’s remarkable growth has not come a moment too soon, as 2023 reviews highlight just how fragile our climate has become. 2023 was the second warmest year ever in the UK, and was only narrowly beaten by 2022, meaning the last two years have been the warmest on record. And while it’s yet to be officially confirmed, 2023 is highly likely to be named as the hottest year ever for the planet.
Rainfall was 20% above average in England last year, while elsewhere in the world it was a similar story of extreme weather events. There were major floods in Greece and Libya, wildfires in Canada and Hawaii, and even peaceful Jersey was hit by its strongest winds on record, exceeding 100mph.
What’s more, all signs point to this situation continuing, with 2024 predicted to be the hottest year ever once again. Here in the UK, the named storms are into double figures for the season with countless homes starting the year underwater.
It’s not too late to change
The news may be full of doom and gloom when it comes to the climate, but it is not too late to do your bit to turn things around. By working with a green energy company like Think Hire, you can cut your emissions and reduce your dependence on fossil fuels without reducing your efficiency or increasing your costs. In fact, if you work with Think Hire as your renewable energy partner, we guarantee to cut your operating costs.
We’re delighted by our huge growth in 2023 because it’s not just good news for our company; it’s good news for all of us. By making renewable energy more affordable and more accessible for sites of all sizes, our green energy company is making a real difference every day.
